Mercedes SL UK prices
UK prices for the new SL350 and and SL500 have been announced, with deliveries staring in June.
The new R231-generation of the Mercedes SL will cost from £72,490 when it goes on sale next month in Britain. This price is for the V6-engined SL350 model, which is launched alongside the SL500, powered by a 4.7-litre twin turbo V8, and costing from £83,445. The more sporting SL63 and SL65 AMG versions will be available later in the year.
By way of comparison, the Jaguar XK 5.0 Convertible costs from £71,000, boasting more power (380bhp v 316bhp for the Mercedes) but is a far older car. A comparable BMW 640i M Sport Convertible costs £70,120 is similarly powerful to the SL350 with 315bhp and loses out only slightly in terms of efficiency, with carbon dioxide emissions 10g/km higher.
