This week sees the Frankfurt motor show open its doors to the press, with public days from September 17-27.

It’s the biggie of the motor show circuit, too, with hall upon hall of new metal and the big German brands – Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche and VW - particularly keen to impress on home turf.
