evo track evening - Rockingham 24/08/2018

This was our final trackday at Rockingham for 2018

It was the penultimate evo track evening of 2018, and the last at Rockingham race circuit on Friday, what a great show it was with our readers and BMW UK out in force. Despite the dry start to the evening, the weather eventually turned, giving the Rockingham circuit an extra layer of difficulty.

Rockingham itself is a unique track in the UK, combining a banked outer circuit with a fast, flat inner section where it is all too easy to illicite under or oversteer if you’re not careful. If you’ve not been able to make it up to Rockingham this time around, don’t worry, as we’re covering the evening here on our site, and on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, too.

This year we have partnered up with BMW UK, supporting our events by showing off its latest new models, and even some M-cars for you to get behind the wheel of with BMW’s professional instructors beside you on track.

But it’s the people that made our trackday such a good evening; chiefly our readers, who bring their own amazing performance cars to push to the limits in a safe, controlled and legal environment.

We only have the one event remaining for the year at the Bedford Autodrome on Friday 7 September, and due to popular demand the event is already sold out. But we’ll return in 2019, so check back in after the new year for details of next year’s evo trackday season.
