Ford Mondeo Facelift

Crossing the Alps, we stumbled across this prototype of a Ford Mondeo, likely to be introduced next summer

We find this restyling coming early, considering the current model is on the market since two years only. However, our shots clearly prove that Ford is hard working on a makeover of its largest saloon on the European market.

The disguise of the prototype suggests that the facelift will modify the front of the car only and that the rear bumper and tail-lights might be left untouched. We reckon that interior and engines won’t be changed either which would result in an engine line-up from 1.6- to 2.5-litre petrol units delivering between 110 and 225 bhp, plus direct-injection turbodiesels with 2.0 (115 and 140 bhp) and 2.2 litres (175 bhp).
