‘Black’ Mercedes SLS revealed

Faster Mercedes SLS AMG with 620bhp on its way. But all is not what it seems...

OK, so it’s not a true Mercedes Benz SLS AMG ‘Black’ but this tweaked Kicherer version is compelling nonetheless.

Fitted with a styling and performance package, the Kicherer SLS Black Edition has a revised rear diffuser, a new front lip spoiler, 20-inch ‘RS1’ wheels plus an optional adjustable sports suspension system with an axle lift plus black, rather than chrome, exterior jewelry. It’s also draped in the current wrap of choice – matt black.

A revised ECU and stainless steel exhaust increase power from 563bhp to 620bhp. Expect a 200mph+ top speed. With the doors closed, of course.

And if you prefer your SLS with a little more spark, Mercedes has just unveiled details of this electric version.
