Ford Mustang pre-orders now open in the UK

Pricing starts at £28,995 for EcoBoost model

Ford has officially opened up pre-orders for the new 2015 Mustang in the UK. The new car's configurator is now also live, so potential buyers can get an idea of what is on offer with the Mustang.

Pricing starts at £28,995 for the 309bhp 2.3-litre EcoBoost paired with a 6 speed manual. Those looking for the 412bhp 5-litre V8 will have to splash out £32,995 for the bigger engine and a manual gearbox.

The new Mustang comes with either a six speed manual gearbox or an automatic transmission. It's available in fastback or coupe form and both cars come with 19-inch wheels, performance brakes and xenon headlamps.

This will be the first time that Ford has put the Mustang on sale globally. Ford made reservations for the first 500 UK bound Mustangs available during the 2014 Champions League Final.

Colour choices for the Mustang include Competition Orange and tri-coat Triple Yellow. Other options are climate control seats and premium 19-inch wheels.

Ford has also launched an augmented reality app which will allow users to create a 'virtual Mustang' to show off their chosen options.
