Smart Forstars

A new concept from Smart showcases the company's plans for the future.

A new member of the Smart car family will be introduced at the Paris motor show, the Smart Forstars. Smart’s new concept shares main body features with the Smart For-us such as convex panels and bold lines.

The Smart Forstars takes its name from key features found on the car. The roof is a convex glass panel that joins with the glass cargo cover, which allows for an unobstructed skyward view. Disguised as an air scoop on the bonnet, is a built in video projector designed for watching movies from your car.

Interior styling is also borrowed from the Smart for-us as well as taking inspiration from the Smart forvision: simple driver orientated design.

The Smart forstars inherits the electric drive system that was first used in the Smart fortwo BRABUS. The Magneto-electric drive system has been increased to 80bhp and 99lb ft of torque, topping out at 80mph.
