2019 Range Rover Evoque review – MPG and running costs

2019 Range Rover Evoque review – MPG and running costs

MPG and running costs

Another compromise driven by the Evoque’s lardy kerb weight is the poor fuel consumption. Despite the best efforts of the mild-hybrid system, real-world fuel consumption is average at best, and at worst is startlingly poor. During our time spent with the P300 over mostly gentle motorway cruising it still struggled to crack 30mpg. Diesels are predictably more efficient, and far better suited to the Evoque as a whole, although breaking 35mpg was still a challenge in the D240. Parts and servicing will also be predictably steep, and with Land Rover’s spotty reliability reputation, overall running costs are likely to sit higher than the class average.
