Cadillac CTS-V Black Diamond Edition revealed

Meet the shiny Cadillac CTS-V Black Diamond Edition, with clever SpectraFlair paint and new alloy wheels

Cadillac has revealed a new Black Diamond Edition of its CTS-V performance car. It will soon be available in coupe, saloon and estate format. The company is describing the BDE as like a ‘finely crafted, tailored tuxedo’, with an aluminium SpectraFlair pigment embedded in the tri-coat paintwork giving a diamond-esque sparkle. Cadillac says it meets buyer demand for paints that boast special effects.  The new edition’s exterior upgrades also include yellow-painted, six-piston front and four-piston rear Brembo brake callipers and 19in alloy wheels finished in Satin Graphite. On the inside the BDE has new ‘Midnight Sapele’ wood trim and French stitched leather Recaro sports seats, with inserts made from microfibre suede. The car comes with the same supercharged 6.2 litre V8 engine as the standard CTS-V, meaning there’s a more than potent enough 556bhp and 551lb ft being sent to the rear wheels. We’re big fans of the muscle car-like saloon, as you can see on video here. The Black Diamond Edition will go on sale in US dealers next month, priced from 69,190 US Dollars (£43,000 approx). Click here to read our Cadillac CTS-V review The CTS-V battles its best muscle car rivals
