BMW i8 paint options just got a lot more exciting

New individual offerings include Java Green and Speed Yellow

BMW has extended its paint choices for the i8 to include the likes of Java Green, Speed Yellow, Solar Orange and Frozen Grey, the last of which featured on the 30 Jahre Edition M5.

Until now the choice of colours for the i8 has actually been fairly restricted. For a £104,540 car, being stuck with simple silver, blue and white options may have put many buyers off, particularly when you consider how far you can go with Porsche Exclusive options.

Now BMW is offering a number of unusual colours in different finishes, including one it calls 'Xirallic' which uses a combination of synthetic mica or aluminium flakes. Matte paintwork choices are also available.

At the moment, the Individual options are only available in the UK, with pricing starting out at £5,495.
