German tuner ABT Sportsline reveals 530bhp Audi RS4+

Audi’s RS4 receives more power, modified suspension components, a carbonfibre aerodynamics package and an upgraded interior

Thanks to a new stand-alone ECU from the tuner, ABT Sportsline has taken the Audi RS4’s 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 from 444bhp to just over 500bhp, with the option to increase it to almost 530bhp at an additional cost. The tuner says the car’s excellent all-wheel-drive system allows even this increased power figure to be utilised in all conditions.

Alongside the bump in power, the company has also worked its magic on the interior and exterior of the RS4. Height-adjustable suspension springs set it apart from the standard car, alongside 20-inch alloy wheels in gloss black with a diamond-cut rim flange. A carbonfibre ‘aerodynamics’ package is also included, adding a new front splitter, grille, canards, diffuser and ‘dynamic’ rear spoiler to the car.

Various other tweaks from the tuner can also be found, such as logos and emblems on the interior, a modified RS4+ puddle light, ABT-branded start-stop button, gearstick and much more. Of course, a new exhaust system is also included, this one with four large 102mm tips finished in carbonfibre. ABT Sportsline’s services don’t stop there – should you want more, clients can choose to customise their cars however they’d like at an additional cost.

CEO Hans-Jürgen Abt said: ‘As the demand for the predecessor RS4-R – which was also limited to 50 vehicles – far exceeded the supply, we are now offering our customers a worthy successor.’ The model will be on display for the first time at this year’s Geneva motor show in March where potential buyers can experience it in person.

Pricing details are yet to be announced, however we’d expect this to coincide with its Geneva appearance. The RS4+ will be limited to just 50 examples and will be ready for delivery from March 2019. Order books are now open.
