Bugatti Veyron GT

1001ps not quite enough for you? Fear not...

Internet forums are rife with rumours of a big power boost for a special run-out edition Bugatti Veyron - the GT - with power lifted by over a third to a barely believable 1332bhp. Torque is set to be an equally insane 1018lb ft. Maximum speed climbs to 264mph, while 62mph is just 2.4 seconds away from standstill. Braking back down to zero again takes a mere 2.2 seconds. To make sure the GT doesn’t just shred its tyres or send the proud owner straight into a tree, the carbon ceramic brakes will be upgraded and there’ll be a revised ESP system and tweaked aerodynamics – comprising of lowered ride height and an adjusted rear spoiler. Expect to see the Veyron GT in spring 2009, and if you’ve just spent your hard-earned coins buying a ‘base spec’ Bugatti then don’t fret - the GT package will come as a retro-fit option to all Veyrons.
