We pick our favourites from the 2008 Baselworld watch fair

Each April the world’s greatest watch manufacturers gather in Basel, Switzerland, to exhibit their latest designs at the BaselWorld watch fair. This year the show demonstrated that, while white may currently be the ‘in’ colour for cars, watches are going in the opposite direction. Black faces and black rubber straps seem to be the way to go, as do larger case diameters and ever more complicated movements. Here’s what caught our eye. Click on the images for more info.
