Motorexpo

The New York Motorexpo opens today

The New York Motorexpo opens today after a weekend of elaborate redecoration in the city’s World Financial Centre. It saw exotica worth over £2million being hauled onto the lobby level if the building via a crane.

The first car to make the impressive move skywards was a Bugatti Veyron, with a round of applause greeting its 30 foot climb. Another 17 cars, including models from Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, Ferrari, Maserati and Fisker were also lifted up.

It’s the first time that Motorexpo has crossed the atlantic, after years of successful events at London’s Canary Wharf. It’s a prestige motor show and unlike most other events, this one is totally free.

It is held at the World Financial Centre in downtown Manhattan and is open from Monday September 15 to Friday September 19 between 10am and 6pm. On September 18 the show will be open until 8pm.
