Rolls-Royce Cullinan upgraded to 697bhp from tuner Spofec

The 2.6 tonne Rolls-Royce Cullinan is hardly a performance machine, but Spofec has tried to make it one anyway

SUVs don't get much more exclusive than the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and with a £250,000 starting price and V12 engine, it’s almost unlike any other. This hasn’t stopped Novitec’s dedicated Rolls-Royce tuning division applying its own set of modifications to the big SUV, revealing a new widebody kit and an additional helping of power.

Based on the Cullinan Black Badge, Spofec has fitted a new front bumper to suit its swollen arches, which have been widened by 10cm at the front and 12cm at the rear. The firm claims that tweaks to the front-end aerodynamics reduce lift at speed.

Under the arches sit a set of 24-inch forged wheels developed in collaboration with US wheel manufacturer Vossen. Available in a variety of colours and finishes, the new wheels are wrapped in 295-section rubber front and rear.

A piggyback ECU module has also turned up its 6.75-twin-turbocharged V12 to 697bhp at 5400rpm, and 782lb ft of torque at just 1800rpm – that’s 106bhp and 118lb ft more than an ordinary example. 0-62mph is a claimed 4.6sec, four tenths sooner than standard, with top speed remaining at the factory 155mph.

Should you find your personalised Rolls-Royce still not ‘sporty’ enough, a 40mm drop in ride height and optional ‘sporty’ stainless steel exhaust system are also available.
