Final chance to buy a new Saab

The last handful of Saabs to leave the factory in Trollhattan have come up for sale through a Swedish auction house.

Final chance to buy a new Saab

The administrators are finally clearing out the remaining stock of Saabs from the Trollhattan factory in Sweden. With just 68 cars remaining, KVD Auctions will be auctioning off the stock on 16 December.

The cars on offer are pre-production test-beds, cars used by former Saab employees, or completely fresh out of the box examples. Former boss of Saab, Victor Muller’s personal 9-5 Aero is one of the cars on offer, and there’s a wide choice of 9-7X SUVs on offer.

Saab enthusiasts will be most interested in the 18 9-5 Sportcombis on offer, of which just 30 were ever produced. It never officially went on sale before the company went bust. There are a number of Saab 9-3s too, most notably and perhaps ironic, are the Independence Editon cars – launched to celebrate the first anniversary of Saab's split from GM, just days before the bankruptcy.

See the complete auction listings here, and why not have a cheeky bid?
