Prices for the new full-sized convertible Vauxhall Cascada will start from £23,995 in the UK

Vauxhall has released full details and prices of its new four-seater full-sized convertible Cascada. Prices for the most basic 1.4-litre 139bhp SE model start from £23,995, rising to £29,080 for the 2.0-litre Bi-Turbo diesel ‘Elite’. UK deliveries start in April.

The entry-level SE model gets the 138bhp 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine, with the 164bhp 2.0CDTI diesel or 193bhp Bi-Turbo diesel engine also available. The Bi-Turbo will be the quickest in the range, with an 8.9second 0-62mph time and 143mph top speed.

The launch of the new Cascada also ushers in Vauxhall’s next-generation of turbo petrol engine, starting with the 168bhp 1.6-litre SIDI Turbo ECOTEC engine, which will be rolled out across the Vauxhall range.

Underpinning the front of the Cascada is a variation of Vauxhall’s HiPerStrut front suspension, which is currently used on the Astra and Insignia VXR models. This will be standard across the entire range, with the company’s fully adaptive FlexRide system offered as an option.
