Honda Civic Type R vs BMW M135i - which is fastest

Two super hatches battle it out in our next drag race film

Our latest drag battle pits the BMW M135i against the Honda Civic Type R. Of the current generation of super hatches, the M135i is undoubtedly the most understated, with the Civic Type R positioned at the other end of the spectrum.

Until recently, the Civic was the fastest front-wheel drive car around the Nurburgring. The Volkswagen Clubsport S put a stop to that. The Civic is down on power compared to the M135i, producing 306bhp compared to the BMW's 322bhp. Both cars are fitted with six-speed manual gearboxes. So which is going to be quickest? You'll have to watch to find out.

evo's Drag Battles were all conducted at Alconbury's Cambridgeshire runway on a dry surface. All cars were supplied from manufacturers' press fleets on standard OEM tyres with the manufacturers were not aware of the tests being conducted.
