Drifiting, burnouts and very high speeds: BMW's track testers put the new M5 sports saloon through its paces

BMW M5 track testing

The new BMW M5 F10 sports saloon is undergoing testing. Watch as BMW's engineers put the latest incarnation of the M5 through its final paces, before production begins this autumn.

Under the beating sun at the BMW teste centre in Miramas, South France, the two lightly-camouflaged M5s burn serious amounts of rubber and kick up massive clouds of smoke. Engine, suspension and transmission settings are checked under the most extreme conditions and the vehicles are pushed to their absolute physical limits.
