New Caterham 7 hire scheme

Caterham extends its Hire-A-7 scheme, allowing more people to borrow a back-to-basics sports car

If you have ever wanted to drive a Caterham 7, but could never justify buying one, then now might be your chance to experience the iconic British sports car for significantly less.

Caterham’s ‘Hire-A-7’ service is now available in eight locations in the UK, with a number of new models joining the fleet.

The cost of experiencing the car is very reasonable, with low weekday rates and discounts for hiring over a whole weekend, with prices starting at £175.

The hire program runs until the end of October every year, meaning the cars can be enjoyed in the best weather the British summer has to offer (probably rain…). Luckily, if it does rain, most of the Hire-A-7 models are Roadsport-spec, meaning you will be protected from the worst that nature has to throw at you thanks to their standard-fit detachable roof and doors.

Locations for hire include Caterham centres in Surrey, Leicester, the Scottish Highlands, Swindon and Gloucestershire, while new locations in Yorkshire and Northern Ireland have joined the initiative.

While prices start from £175 for one day’s hire (including 120 free miles) or £325 for two days (including 240 free miles), vehicles can also be loaned for a long weekend, from Friday to Monday.
