McLaren debuts new personalisation options
McLaren Special Operations has detailed its full range of upgrades available for the 12C during the car's tour of the Middle East.
McLaren Special Operations, the arm of the company that offers custom options, has been busy developing a range of styling upgrades for the 12C - touring a Satin Volcano Orange option-laden 12C around the Middle Eastern dealer network.
The most obvious changes are the redesigned bumpers, giving a slightly more aggresive look, especially at the front. Most of the upgrade parts from MSO are made from carbon fibre, including a full carbon fibre bonnet, airbrake and engine cover, which can be combined with an exposed carbon fibre roof panel. Other styling tweaks include additional vents on the top of the front wings.
Inside, there’s yet more carbon fibre on the centre console, and the steering wheel. Colour and trim options are almost endless, and MSO is keen to push the full bespoke experience – right up to the point of offering a completely different body, like the X1 project.
