New BMW 8-series Gran Coupe receives M Performance parts

The BMW 8-series Gran Coupe has received M Performance parts, alongside the 3-series Touring and X1 SUV

Following in the footsteps of the 8-series Coupe, Cabriolet and range-topping M8, the 8-series Gran Coupe has received the M Performance parts treatment, alongside the 3-series Touring and X1 SUV.

The M8 Gran Coupe is yet to surface, but if you can’t wait for a four-door, carbonfibre-clad 8-series, the Munich brand has you covered. New parts see M-inspired additions both inside and out, adding lots of carbonfibre as well as more aggressive looks, new wheels and more.

Outside, you can option carbonfibre mirror caps, side vents and a new carbonfibre grille for some M-inspired flare. Two new sets of 20” wheels are also now on offer, coming in a diamond cut (732 M), gold and black finish or in a bold matte gold on the 763 M style wheels, the same kind found on the M3 CS. Behind those new wheels sits a sports brake system, featuring vented and perforated discs with red callipers. For winter storage, you can also pick up new wheel bags, labelled to help you keep your wheels organised.

Step inside, and you’ll find a thicker, Alcantara M Performance steering wheel, complete with carbonfibre inserts, a red 12 o'clock marker, contrast stitching and carbonfibre shift paddles. M Performance floor mats and stainless steel pedal rests also feature, alongside LED door projectors, displaying your choice of a BMW logo, a BMW M logo or one of three different M Performance logos on the ground. To help bring some of this sporty design flair with you wherever you go, you can also choose to have your car key holder wrapped in either Alcantara or carbonfibre.

Both the 3-series Touring and BMW X1 receive similar additions, with various carbon fibre components, new M Performance wheels and matte black sill wraps all available. The 3-series Touring is also available with what the marque describes as the 'front ornamental grille Iconic Glow', an option that illuminates the front grille when the car is opened and closed. Inside both models, you also receive the same carbonfibre/alcantara M Performance steering wheel, as well as M Performance floor mats.

Aside from the marginal improvement in braking performance you’ll see with the selection of sports brakes, BMW isn’t offering any performance enhancements.

All parts are available to order now, and pricing is upon request.
