Porsche 911 Targa: Wind-in-the-hair Porsche motoring

Don't let the German number-plates fool you - these Porsche Targa S pictures were taken on public roads in the great state of California, USA! Father and son, Daniel and Edward Allen, were motoring down some country roads when they stumbled upon a photo shoot for either a future brochure, or possible advertising campaign, and they each took one turn at with their camera. Dad (Daniel) shot the rear view, and Ed took the front photo.

Totally uncamouflaged and even sporting badges, these are the 'cleanest' Targa pictures that we've seen to date.

Exterior modifications over the coupe include a sharp-edged rear side-window plus the panoramic transparent roof which slides back over the rear window on the push of a button. It’s more than likely the Targa will be available as a Carrera 4 and 2 on top of the Targa S pictured here.
