Sportec's 190mph Porsche Panamera Turbo

Tuner Sportec tweaks the Porsche Panamera Turbo super saloon. 575bhp, 598lb ft and 190mph

Porsche Panamera Turbo not powerful enough for you? Mansory’s upgrade too garish? Then you’ll be wanting to tap up APS of Brackley, the official UK importer of Sportec’s new upgrade. The company responsible for the startling 846bhp, 240mph+ SPR1 M supercar has turned its attention to Porsche’s supersaloon and come back with some tweaks that represent far better value than its £500,000 911. ‘Sportec Porsche Panamera Turbo Stage One’ costs £2900, including 17.5 per cent VAT. That pays for an ECU remap which ups power and torque from the standard car’s respective 493bhp and 516lb ft to 560bhp and 576lb ft – rises of 11 per cent. They help slice the Turbo’s claimed 0-62mph time from 4.2 to 3.9sec, though we’ve managed a 3.6sec sprint to 60mph in the untuned car… Top speed is limited to 190mph. ‘Sportec Porsche Panamera Turbo Stage Two’ is a pricier £7990, but for that you get a variable-note stainless steel exhaust system (featuring those quad tailpipes pictured on the rear shot) on top of the ECU remap, leading to figures of 575bhp, 598lb ft, 3.8sec and 190mph, the latter once again electronically limited. Sportec also offers a full range of suspension and brake upgrades as well as numerous alloy wheel options.
