Chris Harris: Carrera Cup qualifying video

In-car video of evo's Chris Harris qualifying for 2010 Porsche Carrera Cup race at Hockenheim

Chris Harris Porsche Carrera Cup

Join me on board in qualifying for the final round of 2010 Porsche Carrera Cup Germany. This in-car video in ‘my’ black VIP-Porsche entry shows just how wet it was at Hockenheim – this is only my third lap in these conditions and, as you'll see, I quickly discover that the tyres only give one quick lap and that was lap two!

It's a hell of a rush though. 450bhp, 1150kg and a sequential box - the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race car really is an extraordinary machine. The feeling as you burst into the stadium section is well reflected in this video too.

This lap got me P.15, then there was a red flag, then I blobbed my second run and ended up in the gravel. Idiot. Still, on shot tyres, it was quite amusing. Fellow guest (and regular Porsche racer) René Rast grabbed pole position with Brits Nick Tandy and Sean Edwards 2nd and 4th.
