Discover where you belong in IONIQ 9

What have you got planned for the weekend? Perhaps you are going on an outing with the kids, collecting some furniture or towing your race car to a track.

The new Hyundai IONIQ 9 is the all-electric SUV which is designed to belong in your life and fit in with your plans. It’s a bold statement of innovation, sustainability, and design.

There is space for all the family in first class comfort across three rows of seats, plus room for your active lifestyle with a flexible luggage space and a towing capacity of up to 2,500kg* – enough to tow the family boat.

The long driving range of up to 385 miles** and 800v fast charging ***will mean the IONIQ 9 will fit into your life, with technology that makes it easier - and help keep your family safe.

Futuristic design

The IONIQ 9’s sophisticated styling doesn’t just look good – it has been shaped to carve efficiently through the air, with a drag coefficient figure of just 0.27Cd. This is helped by features such as flush fitting powered door handles which helpfully extend when you approach with the key.

The advanced lighting technology also contributes to the retro-futuristic look. The parametric pixel design combines into a welcome sequence as you unlock the IONIQ 9, with horizontal daytime running lights and tall taillamps creating an instantly recognisable signature look. The vertically stacked headlamps use adaptive lighting technology on Ultimate and Calligraphy models so you always have the correct spread of light where and when you need it when driving at night. Three striking wheel designs complete the look, in 19, 20 and 21-inch sizes.

Inside the IONIQ 9

The IONIQ 9’s interior creates a home away from home, with a lounge-like atmosphere and space for up to seven to travel in total comfort. Calming tones and quality materials blend with the latest technology to create an oasis of calming opulence.

Dual 12.3-inch panoramic curved displays provide access to the infotainment system, including Hyundai’s AI Assistant**** to help when it comes to controlling features such as the ventilation and navigation. This works just like a smart speaker, allowing you to simply ask the car to control features such as the seat heaters or sunroof.

With the IONIQ 9 designed from the ground up as an electric car, there are none of the packaging compromises needed to accommodate a bulky engine and transmission, resulting in an interior with a flat floor and flexible seating arrangements.

Six-seat models, which feature individual captains chairs in the centre row that can swivel, have Hyundai’s Universal Island 2.0 central console that slides forward and back to serve the front or rear passengers, including a dual opening centre console storage lid and automatic temperature controls for the second-row passengers.

If you need to carry loads rather than people, the IONIQ 9 makes it easy with its intelligent tailgate. Stand for a few seconds within a metre of the boot with the key in your pocket and it will open automatically, meaning you can operate it with your hands full.

Once open, there’s a hidden lower cargo storage area beneath the floor, and the rear seats fold away at the touch of a button to provide up to 2,494 litres of space – that’s van-like capacity. Even with just the third row folded there is a massive 908 litres to carry luggage.

Innovative powertrains

Hyundai’s expertise in electric vehicles means the IONIQ 9 can deliver both efficiency and impressive power. There’s a choice of single or twin motors, including a Performance version with 427PS and 700Nm of torque, yet it can still deliver up to 372 miles of range.*****

The most efficient model delivers a driving range of up to 385 miles**, and the cutting-edge 800v electrical architecture allows for ultra fast charging too, at speeds of up to 233kW when using a 350kW rapid DC charger.*

This means you can worry less about the range and simply get on with your day. It’s just one more reason that the IONIQ 9 is designed to belong in your busy life.
