Nissan set to unveil limited Ring-inspired 370Z performance car for Europe

Nissan and the Nürburgring are starting to go firmly hand-in-hand. The GT-R’s name tends to be inseparable with that of the Nordschleife, after plenty of runs and supposed record setting there during its development.

And last month Nissan fielded its new 370Z performance car in the 2009 Nürburgring 24 hours. To mark the Zed’s appearance, the company is reported to be producing a limited edition, with just 80 examples of the 370Z Nürburgring set to be made.

The car’s 3.7-litre V6 engine will remain in its stock 326bhp trim, mated to the six-speed manual, which is expected to get the Synchro Rev rev-matching technology as standard.

Key changes will include a yellow paint finish to echo the 24-hour car, 19in OZ Racing alloys (with Dunlop tyres), a Cobra sports exhaust system and the usual array of plaques to mark out its special-ness. Word is you’ll even get a 150 euro gift card to use on public laps of the Ring…

There’s no official word on the 370Z Nürburgring yet, but sales could be kept to the continent. We’ll keep you posted.
