The RCZ R, Peugeot's most powerful road car ever produced, has been unveiled at the Paris motor show. We take a look at the history of the fast Peugeot

Peugeot has recently unveiled the 208 GTI, reviving the GTI name. The new hatch promises 197bhp from its turbocharged 1.6-litre engine, with 0-62mph in less than 7.0secs.

Also unveiled at the Paris motor show was the 256bhp RCZ R, the company’s most powerful road car to date.
