An impressive package that sits above the convertible in dynamic terms

Evo rating

  • Better than a cabriolet, more exotic presence than coupe or cab, tractable engine
  • Wind noise, added weight, is it really a GTS?

Interior and Tech

As we've already mentioned, the Targa interior is a little on the boring side, if not incredibly well put together. Running riot with the options list does a lot to rectify this, as does the likes of the GTS's interior package which adds plenty of alcantara for a bit more of a premium touch.

What we can't fault is the ergonomics. Every touch point that matters is catered for perfectly, from pedal position to the gearstick, it's just a very comfortable and engaging car to drive and sit in.

Tech-wise, the Porsche is less impressive. The nav is now really starting to show its age over the competition, featuring dated looking menus and sluggish responses. Even cruise control is an option, so turning your Porsche into any sort of gadget-fest is going to cost.
