Video: Range Rover drifting on ice

Can you drift a Range Rover? This was the slightly childish question I asked the Land Rover team whilst enjoying their spectacular ‘Nordic Adventure’ event in Finland (it runs between January and March 2012, click here for details).  Fortunately, they had organised a morning’s activities on an ice field near a town called Hameenlinna, some 90km (56 miles) north of Helsinki. Within this frozen complex was a dedicated circular drift track but rather than Range Rovers, there were two XKR-S Jaguars for us to punt round the icy circle (temperatures were hovering around -20deg C while we were there). So when everyone else nipped off for a morning coffee, I nicked the keys to a new Range Rover TDV8 and popped it across to the drift track. Here’s what happened next…
