900bhp Ford GT

Most powerful GT wins over Ford design team with monstrous performance

Heffner Performance - crackers enough to create a 917bhp Lamborghini Gallardo - has now tweaked a Ford GT to produce over 900 horsepower.

It's a bold amount, and results in some bold performance - try 200mph in under 20sec and 150mph within a quarter mile dash, for instance. It's all been produced with the help of Ford GT chief designer Camilo Pardo, too, so it isn't just a load of power riskily shoved into a hard-to-handle hypercar.

The looks ape the classic colours associated with the modern-day GT, with red and white stripes joined by a new rear bumper and diffuser and some smart black BBS alloys.

It's one of the few outside vehicles to make it into Ford's own proving grounds, and according to its makers it was a hit with the original GT team. With performance like that, we can't exactly blame them.
