Ford Fiesta ST Mk7 review (2013-2017) – design

The ST was evo’s favourite junior hot hatch, hopefully the new one will be just as fun

Evo rating
  • Great value, deeply involving chassis
  • Interior feels older than its model year suggests

The Mk7 Fiesta shape has always been attractively proportioned. The 2011 facelift added a larger front grille and more predatory headlight treatment, which work very well alongside the ST’s deeper bumpers, rear spoiler and 17-inch alloy wheels.

To our eyes it’s one of the best-looking small hot hatches currently on sale. Blue bodywork is traditional for fast Fords, but the optional Spirit Blue metallic paintwork was a £495extra.

The £275 ST Style Pack adds red brake calipers, illuminated door sills and smoked alloy wheels for a more purposeful appearance. Tinted windows cost an extra £200.
