New Lexus IS-F sports saloon

Revised exterior, tweaked interior and a Euro 5 regs pass: the 2011 model year Lexus IS-F for Paris

The Lexus IS-F sports saloon will survive stringent Euro 5 regulations. They’ve already claimed some high profile victims in the shape of the Mazda RX-8, Ford Focus ST, Honda Civic Type-R and V6 Alfa Romeos. But a 2011 model year refresh for the banzai IS-F not only sees its 417bhp, 372lb ft 5-litre V8 engine sail through the new regs, the car gets a bit of a refresh too. Exterior tweaks include revised headlights (featuring daytime running LEDs) and a new ‘Starlight Black’ faint finish while inside there are new seat designs and a clearer, smarter instrument binnacle which focuses on the rev-counter.  Small changes, admittedly, but ones which keep the IS-F as one of our favourite sports saloons. Read about our rather loved long-termer here.
