Mercedes AMG GT: mega-gallery

What do you think of the new Mercedes AMG GT, hot or not? We've assembled our favourite pictures to help you make your decision

We've had a few weeks now to acquaint ourselves with Mercedes' new two-seat sports car after its Paris motor show unveiling. Wearing a snarling nose and flaunting a roofline and lengthy bonnet synonymous with classic Merc sports cars, the new AMG GT mixes the old with new. It enters a ring soon to be filled with serious contenders too, namely German rivals in the form Audi's next R8 and Porsche's future 911.

We can't drive the twin-turbo V8 engined AMG GT for some time though (the car isn't due until 2015), so gauging how it'll perform against developed and improved versions of already mighty sports cars is an impossible task for now.

What we can do, at least, is gawp at the German two-door's bolstered hips and teardrop roofline. We might not have loved the mix of classic with modern when the covers were first pulled off, but in many ways, it's been a grower. Our man Dan Prosser met an AMG GT up close at Paris, and he confirms 'it looks really cool in the flesh.'

Since the car seems to have devided opinion across the interwebs, we thought it would be useful to ask you, the evo reader, what you think. We've compiled this mega-gallery to help, so please do let us know: what do you think of Mercedes' new AMG GT?

Would you take one over an Audi R8 or Porsche 911? Comment below...
