Nissan Esflow sports car gallery

evo got exclusive access to the new Nissan Esflow electric sports car. Big picture gallery here

Nissan’s 2011 Geneva motor show star was the Esflow. It’s an all-electric sports car, and with rear-wheel drive and futuristic 370Z-like looks, it could pave the way for the Big Zed’s replacement. The Esflow’s powertrain comes from the European Car of the Year, the Nissan Leaf, with a combination of batteries and electric motors sending 107bhp and 206lb ft to the back axle. Sounds modest, but with the electric motors making the torque available from zero revs, 0-62mph takes less than five seconds. And while its styling is typical concept car fare – the side mirrors are exchanged for rear-view cameras, for instance – there’s certainly much about the Esflow that’s plausible. Nissan is undecided on whether a similar car will make production. We hope it does. Before the car headed to the spotlights of Geneva, evo got hold of it for an exclusive photo shoot.
