Rubystar Neo now available as standard paint finish on 2023 Porsche 911

Porsche’s updated shade of pink is now available on most 911 and 718 variants as a standard colour option

An updated version of Porsche’s iconic Rubystar paint finish is now available across most of the 911 and 718 ranges as a standard paint finish, making a hot pink shade available for the first time (outside of Porsche’s Paint to Sample program) since the 964 Carrera RS that debuted in 1992.

The specific colour, called Rubystar Neo, isn’t quite the exact match to the original non-metallic shade, instead it’s a slightly brighter and more vibrant take on the hue that’s since become iconic in Porsche’s back catalogue.

It’ll be available as part of Porsche’s ‘Special Colour’ range which also includes Shark Blue, Python Green, Carmine Red, Arctic Grey and the very popular Crayon as a £1919 option (on base Carreras, prices can vary between other models).

These special colour options generally act as hero shades for variants of both 911 and 718 ranges, and Rubystar Neo is no different, headlining the new 718 Style Edition that was recently added to the range.

Previously, to order a 911 in this colour, customers would have to go through the Paint to Sample service. This often entails an additional build time for the order and a £6228 price tag. Of course for special customers, the PTS program has helped keep their specific examples as a little more personal, with at least 114 individual colours that reference both heritage and previously available colours, with the added ability to specify a completely bespoke colour for a little under £8000.
