New Audi Sport Nogaro Editions reference iconic RS2

Limited-edition models to be available in RS4, RS5, RS6 and TT RS variants

It’s unusual for a colour to become so clearly associated with a modern performance brand, but Nogaro Blue and Audi Sport is one exception to that rule. Made famous by its application on the RS2 Avant back in 1992, this seemingly unexceptional shade of solid blue has now formed the basis for a whole range of special edition Audi Sport models, each finished in that signature colour with a few other extras too.

The Audi Sport Nogaro Edition spec will be available on the TT RS, RS4 Avant, RS5 Coupe, RS5 Sportback and RS6 Avant, and is being introduced in the UK after successful runs on sale in the United States. All models combine the aforementioned exterior colour with the matt aluminium styling package, plus silver finishes for the 20-inch wheels on all models except the RS6, which runs on larger 22-inch units with a silver and matt grey two-tone effect. All models also feature red-painted brake calipers on cast-iron brakes, rather than the optional carbon-ceramics.

Inside, there is black nappa leather trim and an extended leather package, contrasted with denim blue stitching. Steering wheels in alcantara with the same blue stitching are also included, and the Comfort and Sound Packages are fitted as standard, but otherwise the cars are based on the UK’s ‘basic’ RS models, not the Carbon Black or Vorsprung versions.

This isn’t quite reflected in their pricing, mind, with the Audi Sport Nogaro Edition models matching the Vorsprung’s pricing in TT RS, RS4 and RS5 form at £67,765, £80,840 and £85,305 respectively. The RS6 is priced at around £10,000 above than the RS6 Vorsprung at £115,240. However, if specified through Audi’s Individual programme each would add up to a yet higher total, which goes some way to justifying the expense. Each variant will be limited to just 25 units in the UK.
