Lexus NX review - prices, specs and 0-60 time - Prices, Specs and Rivals

Distinctive and beautifully made, but no good to drive

Evo rating
RRP
from £29,995
  • F Sport looks sharp, exceptional build quality, low tax bills
  • Badly needs a diesel engine, awful hybrid CVT, inert to drive

Lexus has stiff competition to face up to, including the Audi Q5, BMW X3/X4 and Volvo XC60, plus Land Rover's Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque. However, the Lexus is auspiciously well-priced and, given the decent standard specification, quite good value.

All models come with LED daytime running lamps, adaptive cruise control and 'Pre-Crash' functionality, DAB, dual-zone climate control and a reversing camera - even the basic NX 300h S, starting at £29,995 on-the-road.

Next up is the SE, adding larger alloys and roof rails, plus heated seats and auto wipers - and of course the extra electric motor to give it four-wheel drive. That costs £31,495. The Luxury version (£34,495) comes with parking sensors, Smart Entry, electric leather seats and more.

At the top of the hybrid tree are the F Sport (£36,995) and Premier (£42,995) cars, each with their own equipment idiosyncrasies as befits their titles. The 200t model is solely available in F Sport spec and it's priced at £38,095.
