Firm details of BMW’s M3 GTS have leaked out. We already know about its mechanicals and performance – we’ve driven the 444bhp Porsche 911 GT3 RS rival, in fact – but until now the pricing has been kept secret. UK production will take place in January and February 2011, though, with 15 cars heading to our shores. And at current 17.5 per cent VAT rates it will cost £115,215, though this could rise closer to £120K once our tax rate reaches 20 per cent. It’s a big price for an M3, commanding over £60,000 more than a regular 414bhp V8 coupe. The GTS is a much more specialist (and exclusive) item, though, with comparisons to Porsche’s £110K GT3 RS impossible to ignore, especially as the two are matched on power. The standard GTS forgoes a radio or CD player as well as air conditioning, though either can be specified as no-cost options. You’ll get no discount for going without, though.
