Kia 'VG'

Kia's testing a competitor to Volkswagen's Passat CC

Kia is currently testing an all new near-luxury saloon, codenamed 'VG'. Our spies caught it in the hot deserts of the United States. The car will be powered by a range of 3.3-litre to 3.8-litre V6-engines. Also imaginable, however, are powertrains up to 4.6 litre with eight-cylinder and four-wheel-drive – in contrast to the standard configuration with simple front-wheel-drive. While the taillights will be equipped with LEDs, you will find projector headlights in the front.

The VG is expected to be presented in August 2009.
