Westfield bring Mazdas back from the dead

Westfield now offers an old Mazda MX-5 conversion kit

Westfield

Westfield has found a novel way of re-using all the essentially robust mechanical parts that would otherwise go to waste from an early crash-damaged or rusted-through MX-5 – take them off and stick them in a Westfield shell.

Your MX-5 will need to be the 1.6-litre version produced between 1989 and 1995. Westfield has re-engineered its Seven-lookalike kit to accept the little Mazda’s engine, gearbox, suspension units, facia and even its wheels.

The Westfield kits costs from around £6000, while a parts-donor MX-5 should set you back about a grand.
